About Stephanie Sampiere, Principal and Director of Communications
With more than 20 years’ communications experience both in-house and in-agency, Stephanie has developed content, narratives, messages and positioning that reinforces the vision and strategic goals for some of the world’s leading organizations. During her time as Communications Director at Office Depot, a Fortune 250 provider of business services and supplies, Stephanie led internal communications, international communications and managed many aspects of corporate communications. While at Office Depot, Stephanie shifted the internal communications strategy to be more inclusive, more real-time and more engaging for all associates and managed internal communications for a successful merger, a failed acquisition attempt, new leadership and the introduction of a new culture, vision, strategy and values.
Throughout her career, Stephanie has launched companies, executed communications for initial public offerings (IPOs) and managed communications surrounding bankruptcies. She has also developed communications and messaging for mergers both in-house and in-consultancy. Stephanie has strong crisis experience and was part of the team that received Gold SABRE and PRSA awards for work on behalf of Steven Madden, Ltd. after its founder, CEO and namesake was incarcerated.
A passionate leader who understands the value of mentoring teams to grow talent, achieve results and foster employee engagement and loyalty, Stephanie’s Office Depot communications team was recognized with a Bronze Stevie Award for Top Communications Team in 2015. An avid traveler and fan of learning more about different cultures, Stephanie recently completed an around the world journey, visiting more than 20 countries in 2017 and 2018.
